Grading software
There are many benefits to using technological software to store and upload grades for school work. Most of my teachers use the school website CANVAS to communicate and report grades to me while others grade papers and hand them back to me with my grade on them. Using CANVAS is useful because i can access my grades at any time and the teachers are able to update them from any computer or laptop. My grades can also be kept private and confidential and its an easy way to keep track of my graded performance throughout the semester.
This tab allows us to determine how we would like to display the grades of each of the assignments.
The picture above shows the grades shown by the total grade and average by points. It shows the amount of points each homework assignment, quiz, mid-term and final were all worth. Rylee for example achieved a total of 205 points out of a possible 218. This is equivalent to 94% or an A grade.
This picture points out to us the total percent the student achieved in each homework assignment, quiz, mid-term and final. Dan Carter for example received the lowest grade for the class at a 79.4% which is equivalent to a C+ grade.
Other features of micrograde
Micragorade can also allow us to do many other things. Here are some examples below.
Above is the attendance tool used on MicroGrade. You can determine whether a student was present, tardy, excused or truant on a particular day.
This is an example of the statistics tool in Micrograde. Above is an a graph showing the results of the mid-term exam. From this graph we can learn the highest and lowest grade, the median and average of the whole class. Its useful if you would like to compare your students results with one another and you can get a good look at who you need to help more and what they need help with.
